Songdo International Business District

The Songdo International Business District is a large-scale
urban development project costing over 24 trillion won on a
land area of approximately 5.77km2 (twice the size of Yeouido). Under the project, the district will become the leading international city in Korea and the hub of business in
Northeast Asia.
Urban development is an exhaustive undertaking that encompasses land acquisition, financing, sales, and construction. POSCO E&C hasa strong track record of building new towns and private urban complex development projects both in Korea and abroad based on the success of the Songdo International Business District.

remodeling in Korea! We presented a new paradigm that increases the value of homes through Gaepo The Sharp
Trier backed by our technology specialized in remodeling,
the ability to implement projects, and the finest brand
power of The Sharp apartments.
Gaepo The Sharp Trier, the first remodeling project in Korea by POSCO
E&C, integratesall our latest exclusive technologies that have been specially developed for remodeling, including our top-down steel structure building method. POSCO E&C expanded and upgraded the floor plan through
a horizontal expansion method and used premium finishes. We also
dramatically improved the parking spaces and used POSCO’s high-end
steel, PosMAC, to significantly enhance the exterior design. The resulting
design overwhelms the surrounding areas, further improvingthe dignity
of The Sharp Trier residents and increasing the number of parking lots
per household from 0.5 to 1.3 cars.

YEOUIDO Parc.1
The Yeouido skyline recreated with a design and hues inspired by traditional Korean designs.
Yeouido Parc.1 is a behemoth building that effectively demonstrates POSCO E&C’s technical know-how in
building high-rise buildings.
Yeouido Parc.1 consists of two office towers, a department store, and a
hotel, which rises to 318m and 69 stories, making it the third highest
building in Korea after Haeundae LCT The Sharp by POSCO E&C (411m).
Parc.1 boasts of exceptional architectural qualities

The complex was designed by world-renowned architect Richard Rogers.
The exterior of the building is highlighted by red columns that stretch up
into the sky and are reminiscent of red dancheong, the traditional multi
colored paintwork on wooden buildings, expressing the vigor of Korean
people to move into the future.

POSCO Center BEIJING
An internationally-recognized
office building for human-centered design and acquisition of the highest sustainable building certification
in China.
POSCO Center Beijing applied a people-centered
architectural design so that employees can have a
pleasant, comfortable experience inside the building.
This design element includes glass walls that cover
the entire surface of the building, which invite natural
light inside, and elevators from which you can enjoy
the city view.
The building also adopted a state-of-the-arteco-friendly system.
POSCO Center Beijing features an automatic air purification system,
a solar lighting system, an automatic temperature and humidity control
system, and an ice cooling system that stores cool air using ice by running refrigerators in the night time and using them during the day to cool the air.
Using this system, they managed to maximize the overall energy efficiency
of the building. POSCO Center Beijing was recognized for its energy
efficiency and received three stars, the highest sustainable building
certification level provided by the Chinese government in November 2014.

Rare isotope Accelerator complex for ON-line experiment

a wide range of research activities including those for advanced basic science
The heavy ion accelerator is a piece of research
equipmentthat generates new isotopes by colliding
various elementsat close to the speed of light.
The heavy ion accelerator built by POSCO E&C at Daedeok Special R&D
District in Daejeon, Korea is given the name RAON, which is short for rare
isotope accelerator complex for online experiments. Using RAON, we hope
to discover new elements that the world has not yet found and to identify substances that will act as a key for new medical technology, advanced
materials technology, and innovative growth.
